What is Incremental Records?

Incremental Records is two things. Firstly, it is a store where bands can sell merchandise. Secondly, it is a record label. It is based in Brisbane, Australia.

What's this 'upgrade' thing you have in your store?

The concept of the 'upgrade' is somewhat unique, as far as we know. Basically, if you buy certain products (usually digital copies of records) then you can sometimes upgrade to a different product (eg: a vinyl copy of the same record). In doing so you just pay the price difference.

To give an example, say you guy an MP3 copy of an album for $6. After listening to the record for a few weeks you decide that you like it enough to purchase the Vinyl, which would normally cost $25. You can then come back to the Incremental Store and purchase an upgrade from the MP3 to the Vinyl version, only paying the difference in price, which in this case is $19.

Do you have a standard quality rate for the digital audio you sell?

All digital audio sold on Incremental is encoded as 320kbps MP3.

How do you handle transactions in your store? Is my money safe?

All of our financial transfers are handled via Paypal. Basically when you checkout your purchase you will be sent to the Paypal website. There you enter your desired payment method and details. Once Paypal has confirmed the payment they will notify Incremental and we'll send you your order.

If Paypal handles your transactions then does that mean I need to have a Paypal account to purchase from you?

No, you can use your Credit Card through Paypal. When you're taken to the Paypal site there will be an option on the page to pay with Credit Card.

How can I get Incremental to stock my band/label's merchandise?

Firstly you'll need to register an account. Once you're registered you can request to become seller. We'll need some form of proof that you're authorised to sell the merchandise - generally this is done by us sending a message to an officially listed contact (eg: an official email address listed on a band's website or myspace) and getting a response. Once you're a seller you can send us the merchandise you want sold on the site, be it digital or physical. As a seller you can edit the products that are associated with you account, and of course you can track sales and request payments from Incremental.
